All Straight Boys

Something I haven’t mentioned yet on this site is that all the guys I have photographed so far are straight, at least as far as I know. I am really drawn to the mainstream perceptions of masculinity – the “boys will be boys” persona, so I seek out those types of guys for photography.

Some people have described Slovakia as a “hypermasculine” nation. But like all things, this is just one side of the coin. On the surface, Slovak men tend to appear very masculine and heterosexist. On the other hand, when they are not wearing their “public face” and are in a more relaxed casual environment, they are very sweet, caring and affectionate towards one another. In the right setting, there are many homoerotic moments between these “gentle machos”.

From a distance, many Slovak men naturally appear tough, distant and maybe even a bit conceited. But as soon as you talk to them, they are super friendly and down-to-earth. Even the hottest guys aren’t too hot for a casual, friendly chat.

Going forward I’m going to ask models to rate their sexual preference on a scale of 1 to 10 – 1 being 100% homosexual and 10 being 100% heterosexual. Something like the Kinsey scale. I wonder how many will choose a score lower than 10.

My friend Danko said he’s a 10. I don’t disbelieve him, even though I think that the majority of people fall somewhere in between (3 to 8) rather than being on either extreme of the scale (1 or 10).

Danko is girl crazy and I am boy crazy. It’s fun walking around town together – he’s pointing out the ladies and I am pointing out the guys. And somehow that seems perfect the way it is and at least we’re both crazy about something.

See Danko’s profile page.

Danko is one of your manliest models, and this handsome furball looks good in every photo, from every angle.
