Marek G

Marek, 18, is from Bratislava and currently works as an automechanic in Germany. He got into the trade mostly through his dad, with whom he shares a very good relationship — they have often worked together on cars. Hard-working and genuinely enjoying what he does, Marek also has a strong passion for boxing.

He has a distinctly masculine presence, yet beneath the surface lies a warm and friendly personality. To strangers he can initially appear a bit tough, cold, or distant, but he opens up quickly and reacts very positively to kind, positive-minded people.

There’s a clear frisky, wild streak in him. He doesn’t wait for the ice to break — he’s the type who confidently steps forward. During our conversations he gave me a flirty invitation to photograph not just the usual, but “anything I like,” with a playful smile that left little doubt about his meaning.

We’ve stayed in touch since he moved to Germany for work. I’m already looking forward to seeing him again when he comes home to visit his family during the holidays.
